Most of us know that twitter is a free social networking and micro-blogging service that enables its users to send and read messages known as tweets. In this article, we will discuss how small business can utilize twitter effectively. Earlier in twitter, group following was not possible. On the basis of users’ feedback, twitter has launched new features “Twitter List”. It enables group relationships beyond following each other. Anyone can create and publish twitter lists, so if you have a new idea for one, just click “New list” in the sidebar of your Twitter account. Add accounts to a list using the “Lists” drop drown on a twitter profile page. Twitter list has some incredible benefits for small businesses in how they can organize or otherwise endorse people they follow. There are no best practices for using Twitter Lists. However, we will share some great ideas to spark your imagination. Twitter lists can be private or public and small businesses can follow any lists without resulting in an influx of people they follow. Twitter helps you to notice and noticing others in this competitive business environment. Twitter has a very fair and equal platform for everyone to connect to their desired audience or customer and engage. Instead of becoming obsessed with the number of followers you have amassed pay attention to the lists you are enrolled on and see which associates you have attracted. We know few companies encourage employees to Tweet. This would be a healthy why to highlight and endorse one’s association with the company. Does your business make use of VIPs or similar stars that could be a street team for your brand? Draw attention to them and they will highlight you. Associate yourself with industry associations or peers. On Twitter, it’s collaboration not competition. What are you using twitter lists for? Share it in your blogs or comments! There has to be someone in your company who is great on twitting. Showing humbleness and embracing talent on twitter is a great service for your audience to help grow your audience. There are more ways for small businesses could benefit from Twitter Lists. To know more about how twitter can be benefited for your organization read an e-book on “Twitter Marketing”.
Aluminium extrusion is the process through which the aluminium is pushed forcibly through a series of dies for creating desired shapes. Aluminium is the most abundant element of the metal group that can be found in the earth’s crust. The raw form in which it is found in the earth’s surface is known as Bauxite, an alloy made up of aluminum, oxygen and other metals and elements. The most common misperception about it is that it is not a pure metal, but an alloy. In reality, it is a pure metal. There are many advantages of Aluminium Extrusion and they are:* It is such a metal which is comparatively light weighted. If compared with other metals like Ag or Cu, it’s weight is one third of them. * The tensile strength of Aluminum is almost close to that of steel. In terms od PSI strength, it is 90,000 PSI. * This metal is highly efficient in term of strength to weight ratio. Its strength to weight ration has been found to be extremely high, which means that it is highly efficient. * The other qualities of Aluminum consist of resistance to corrosion, highly reflective, high conductivity to electricity, non-brittleness during excessive cold, non-combustible and many more. Some of the other advantageous features of this metal are durability, versatility, flexibility, consistency, malleability, etc. In order to get high quality, some aspects are there that are needed to be maintained for defect free extrusion. Some of these important points for aluminium extrusion is given below: * To analyze the alloy of Aluminum, a modern and specialized instrument called Direct Reading Optical Emission Spectrometer is used. What is the utility of this check-up? The most important utility lies in close tolerance of the composition with the metal, Aluminum. This test helps in judging the effectiveness of achieving most desirable mechanical properties. * The logs used for them are essentially homogenized before pre-heating them. This is done for achieving improved finishing and superior quality. * The latest computerized equipments should be used for manufacturing tool and dies. Some of these upgraded equipments are Spark Erosion Machines, Jig Boring Machines, CNC equipments (several of them) and Wire Cut Machines. * These extrusion profile needs to have uniform properties. In order to achieve this, a special kind of process is carried out. This process is known as Ageing. According to this, a special kind of thermal treatment is done. This process involves a specialized oven where air is blown at high velocity at controlled temperature. * Aluminium extrusion profile that is created through the entire process is then subjected to checking, involving inspection and measurement. This process of dimension checking is done through an automatic system called ROMIDOT. * These profiles that are produced through the entire process written above is then subjected to proper handling through a conveyor system. This conveyor system is essentially PLC controlled. This process continues until the aluminium extrusion materials get packed. The logo of the concerned aluminium extrusion company is then imprinted on the package.

Are you looking to recruit affiliates for your online business? While it may seem like a walk in the park, there actually is much more to it than most people realize. Online business promotion can be frustrating if you do not know what you are doing. But following the five tips in this article will help you with your affiliate recruiting. 1. Provide optionsThe last thing you want to do when recruiting affiliates is tell them there is one way to do the job. The great thing about the internet is it is so versatile and there are so many ways to do something right. Give each of your prospects options so they know there are multiple ways to succeed online with your business. Knowing there are multiple ways to succeed and still have room to grow is promising to hear. 2. Give them hopeWhen going over your online business promotion, you have to provide hope to the prospect for a better lifestyle. The internet gives entrepreneurs more options than ever before. And you have to show your prospects that your business will help them make their dreams come true. 3. You will be therePerhaps the number one reason so many people fail online is because of a lack of guidance. You want to make it clear that you will be with your affiliate every step of the way. Assuring them that you will provide them with the tools and training necessary to succeed will give them comfort. 4. Provide valueIf you want to find marketing partners you have to be able to show the value of your online business and the products within. If the prospect cannot see the true value in the company, chances are they are not going to join. But if they see themselves benefiting from the products, it will be easy to convince them to join the team. 5. Leave them with anticipationThe last tip to affiliate recruiting is leaving the prospect with anticipation. Give them enough information to want to learn more and see what it really is like to have success online. Tell them the better lifestyle they are looking for is right in front of them with your online business. The more you hype your business, the quicker they will want to join. When it comes to online business promotion, the five tips in this article will help you generate quality recruits. While it is important you can handle rejections, you have to go into each affiliate recruitment with confidence and determination. Following these five tips will help you do just that.

LinkedIn (pronounced /?l??kt.??n/) is a business-oriented social networking site. Founded in December 2002 and launched in May 2003, it is mainly used for professional networking. As of 9 August 2010 (2010 -08-09), LinkedIn had more than 75 million registered users, spanning more than 200 countries and territories worldwide. The site is available in English, French, German, Italian, Portuguese and Spanish. Quantcast reports Linkedin has 21.4 monthly unique U.S. visitors and 47.6 million globally.

Company background

LinkedIn’s CEO is Jeff Weiner, previously a Yahoo! Inc. executive. The company was founded by Reid Hoffman and founding team members from Paypal and Socialnet.com (Allen Blue, Eric Ly, Jean-Luc Vaillant, Lee Hower, Konstantin Guericke, Stephen Beitzel, David Eves, Ian McNish, Yan Pujante, and Chris Saccheri).

Founder Reid Hoffman, previously CEO of LinkedIn, is now Chairman of the Board. Dipchand Nishar is Vice President of Products. LinkedIn is headquartered in Mountain View, California, with offices in Omaha, Chicago, New York and London. It is funded by Greylock, Sequoia Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, Bessemer Venture Partners and the European Founders Fund. LinkedIn reached profitability in March 2006.
On June 17, 2008, Sequoia Capital, Greylock Partners, and other venture capital firms purchased a 5% stake in the company for $53 million, giving the company a post-money valuation of approximately $1 billion.
In June 2010, LinkedIn announced it would be opening up a European headquarters in Dublin, Ireland.
On July 28, 2010, Tiger Global Management LLC purchased a 1% stake in the company at a valuation of approximately $2 billion.
On August 4, 2010, LinkedIn announced Mspoke acquisition. This is the company’s first acquisition for an undisclosed amount. This acquisition aims to help LinkedIn users do more than just find a job, increase users’ activity and improve its 1% premium subscription ratio.

Membership

With 80 million users, LinkedIn is ahead of its competitors Viadeo (30 million) and XING (9 million). The membership grows by a new member approximately every second. About half of the members are in the United States and 11 million are from Europe. With 3 million users, India is the fastest-growing country as of 2009. The Netherlands has the highest adoption rate per capita outside the US at 30%. LinkedIn recently reached 4 million users in UK and 1 million in Spain.

Features

The purpose of the site is to allow registered users to maintain a list of contact details of people they know and trust in business. The people in the list are called Connections. Users can invite anyone (whether a site user or not) to become a connection.

This list of connections can then be used in a number of ways:

* A contact network is built up consisting of their direct connections, the connections of each of their connections (termed second-degree connections) and also the connections of second-degree connections (termed third-degree connections). This can be used to gain an introduction to someone a person wishes to know through a mutual, trusted contact.
* It can then be used to find jobs, people and business opportunities recommended by someone in one’s contact network.
* Employers can list jobs and search for potential candidates.
* Job seekers can review the profile of hiring managers and discover which of their existing contacts can introduce them.
* Users can post their own photos and view photos of others to aid in identification.
* Users can now follow different companies and can get notification about the new joining and offers available.
* Users can save (i.e. bookmark) jobs which they would like to apply for.

The “gated-access approach” (where contact with any professional requires either a preexisting relationship, or the intervention of a contact of theirs) is intended to build trust among the service’s users. LinkedIn participates in EU’s International Safe Harbor Privacy Principles.

LinkedIn also allows users to research companies with which they may be interested in working. When typing the name of a given company in the search box, statistics about the company are provided. These may include the ratio of female to male employees, the percentage of the most common titles/positions held within the company, the location of the company’s headquarters and offices, or a list of present and former employees.

The feature LinkedIn Answers, similar to Yahoo! Answers, allows users to ask questions for the community to answer. This feature is free and the main difference from the latter is that questions are potentially more business-oriented, and the identity of the people asking and answering questions is known.

The searchable LinkedIn Groups feature allows users to establish new business relationships by joining alumni, industry, or professional and other relevant groups. LinkedIn groups can be created in any subjects and by any member of LinkedIn. Some groups are specialised groups dealing with a narrow domain or industry whereas others are very broad and generic in nature.

Another LinkedIn feature is LinkedIn Polls.

A mobile version of the site was launched in February 2008 which gives access to a reduced feature set over a mobile phone. The mobile service is available in six languages: Chinese, English, French, German, Japanese and Spanish.

In mid-2008, LinkedIn launched LinkedIn DirectAds as a form of sponsored advertising.

In October, 2008, LinkedIn revealed plans to opening its social network of 30 million professionals globally as a potential sample for business-to-business research. And, in doing so it’s testing a potential social-network revenue model-research that to some appears more promising than advertising.

In October, 2008, LinkedIn enabled an “applications platform” that allows other online services to be embedded within a member’s profile page. For example, among the initial applications were an Amazon Reading List that allows LinkedIn members to display books they are reading, a connection to Tripit, and a Six Apart, WordPress and TypePad application that allows members to display their latest blog postings within their LinkedIn profile.

Restricted access from some countries
In 2009 Syrian users reported that LinkedIn server stopped accepting connections originating from IP addresses assigned to Syria. As company’s Customer Support stated, services provided by them are subject to US export and re-export control laws and regulations and “As such, and as a matter of corporate policy, we do not allow member accounts or access to our site from Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Sudan, or Syria.”

Cuba, Iran, Sudan and Syria are not available in the list of countries that LinkedIn users can select as one’s location. However, as of April 2010, North Korea is still present there.

SNA LinkedIn

The Search, Network, and Analytics team at LinkedIn has a web site that hosts the open source projects built by the group. The most notable one is Project Voldemort, a distributed key-value structured storage system with low-latency similar in purpose to Amazon’s Dynamo and Google’s BigTable.

Job hunting, job seeking, or job searching is the act of looking for employment, due to unemployment or discontent with a current position. The immediate goal of job seeking is usually to obtain a job interview with an employer which may lead to getting hired. The job hunter or seeker typically first looks for job vacancies or employment opportunities.

Steps

Locating jobs
Common methods of job hunting are:

* Finding a job through a friend or an extended business network, personal network, or online social network service
* Using a job search engine
* Looking through the classifieds in newspapers
* Using a private or public employment agency or recruiter
* Looking on a company’s web site for open jobs, typically in its applicant tracking system
* Going to a job fair

As of 2010, less than 10% of U.S. jobs are filled through online ads.[1]

Researching the employers
Many job seekers research the employers to which they are applying, and some employers see evidence of this as a positive sign of enthusiasm for the position or the company, or as a mark of thoroughness. Information collected might include open positions, full name, locations, web site, business description, year established, revenues, number of employees, stock price if public, name of chief executive officer, major products or services, major competitors, and strengths and weaknesses.

Networking
Contacting as many people as possible is a highly effective way to find a job. It is estimated that 60% or higher of all jobs are found through networking. Job recruiters may use online social networking sites for this purpose.

Applying
One can also go and hand out résumés or Curriculum Vitae to prospective employers. Another recommended method of job hunting is cold calling or emailing companies that one desires to work for and inquire to whether there are any job vacancies.

After finding a desirable job, they would then apply for the job by responding to the advertisement. This may mean applying through a website, emailing or mailing in a hard copy of your résumé to a prospective employer. It is generally recommended that résumés be brief, organized, concise, and targeted to the position being sought. With certain occupations, such as graphic design or writing, portfolios of a job seeker’s previous work are essential and are evaluated as much, if not more than the person’s résumé. In most other occupations, the résumé should focus on past accomplishments, expressed in terms as concretely as possible (e.g. number of people managed, amount of increased sales or improved customer satisfaction).

Interviewing
Once an employer has received your résumé, they will make a list of potential employees to be interviewed based on the résumé and any other information contributed. During the interview process, interviewers generally look for persons who they believe will be best for the job and work environment. The interview may occur in several rounds until the interviewer is satisfied and offers the job to the applicant.

onboarding
New employees begin their onboarding into new organizations even before their first contact with potential employers. While the best employers will invest in accommodating, assimilating and accelerating new employees[3], those joining firms that don’t should take charge of their own onboarding, doing their best to get a head start before their start, manage their messages, and help others deliver results after they start.

Job hunting in economic theory
Economists use the term ‘frictional unemployment’ to mean unemployment resulting from the time and effort that must be expended before an appropriate job is found. Search theory is the economic theory that studies the optimal decision of how much time and effort to spend searching, and which offers to accept or reject (in the context of a job hunt, or likewise in other contexts like searching for a low price).

A business (also known as company, enterprise, or firm) is a legally recognized organization designed to provide goods, services, or both to consumers or tertiary business in exchange for money. Businesses are predominant in capitalist economies, in which most businesses are privately owned and typically formed to earn profit that will increase the wealth of its owners. The owners and operators of private, for-profit businesses have as one of their main objectives the receipt or generation of a financial return in exchange for work and acceptance of risk. Businesses can also be formed not-for-profit or be state-owned.

The etymology of “business” relates to the state of being busy either as an individual or society as a whole, doing commercially viable and profitable work. The term “business” has at least three usages, depending on the scope — the singular usage (above) to mean a particular company or corporation, the generalized usage to refer to a particular market sector, such as “the music business” and compound forms such as agribusiness, or the broadest meaning to include all activity by the community of suppliers of goods and services. However, the exact definition of business, like much else in the philosophy of business, is a matter of debate and complexity of meanings.

The cradle of the modern economy is the United Kingdom. The Scotsman John Law described his “Water Diamanten’ theory in 1705 the system of supply and demand in the market. The father of economics Adam Smith, His book An Inquiry Into the Nature and Causes of the Wealth of Nations (an investigation into the nature and cause of wealth) from 1776 is the start for the economy as a science. Others have his work further.

The big moment in the history of economics is the first industrial revolution. This revolution took place in the years 1780-1850. The production of goods and services are designed differently and takes impressive increase.

There are various ways to the state budget and the production organization. The main types are:

1. centrally planned economy or plan has been implemented by communism.
2. free market economy or capitalism in its pure form occurred in the early stages of the industrial revolution.
3. mixed economy that more or less practiced in almost every country in the world. One community will be more the character of a centrally planned economy, while another society more in the nature of a free market economy. There are several possible forms of organization. Most Western societies have a form of mixed economy with emphasis on the free market model.

The organization focuses on teaching strengths and weaknesses of different economic systems.

within economics, there are two important core themes.
First there is the supply side of the economic system. The supply side is characterized by the use of production. There are four (traditional) production are distinguished:

- Work
- Capital
- Nature (or natural resources)

The fourth factor in production is distinguished entrepreneurship.
At the supply side of the economy involves the production of goods and services. The maximum possible production is called production. The production factors have a (socially agreed) to pay, for work is wages, interest on capital is that, for nature (land) that lease, and finally for business is the profit.

On the other hand, the demand side of the economic system. This is determined by consumer spending (consumption), producers (investment), government (government spending) and foreign (export). Supply and demand come together on the market. By supply and demand together creates the price of a product. Products, goods and services in the free market are all driven by spontaneous rates. Prices are scarcity indicators in the public sector pricing driven by political decisions. The available budget determines the size of the goods here.

Economics is a science that deals with the production and distribution of scarce goods and services. Analogous to other social sciences, the economics are not only concerned with how the economy works, but – in the political economy – with how certain desirable states can be achieved. The economic science that studies the national economy is also called political economy. A separate compartment within the economic sciences, econometrics, it is where it develops and applies methods and techniques for the empirical economic research. The name comes from the Greek oikos economy (?????), which means house, and nomos (?????), meaning rule. Literally it means so economics.

Economics is the broadest and general sense of the science that studies how people with scarce resources acts to his needs. The scarcity of goods and inputs, and their management is the question for the economy as a science. The key question for the economy as a science is the optimum allocation of scarcity. (Shortage) in the economy is not the significance of rare but limited. That question is also linked with politics and political philosophy. The economic issue includes production, distribution, consumption and wealth. Economic activity arises because not everything at a time. Choices have to be made.

Economics studies the factors that determine these choices. Prices are important. Economics is sometimes regarded as the study of exchange in the broadest sense. The advantage is that it is more specific than the above, and goes to the heart of what it is about the economy (wages, prices, sales, sales), but the disadvantage is that it slightly limited: not all Economic activities have directly to do with exchange. The term is also used economics in the sense of satisfaction of a country and its people. “It goes well with the economy” means that there is prosperity. Wages are rising, unemployment is low and the companies make profits. This lemma is the word used in the sense of economics and social science.

There are many ways to go about finding job listings and determining whether or not they are right for you. 1 NewspaperOne tried and true method for finding available jobs is by using the good old newspaper! Search the classifieds every few days to see if any listing draws your attention. If a number is listed, contact the business to obtain more information. This is something you can do during your morning breakfast, or in the evenings as you relax. 2. LibraryYour local library is another good place to look. Many libraries have information about local, state, and governmental jobs that have openings. These are particularly great jobs to hold. Stop by your city’s library to get information on these jobs and how you can apply to them. 3. Government OfficesThere are also many government offices that provide assistance to job seekers. The government itself hires people for local, state, and government jobs like post office workers. Stopping at any of the many offices in your area will be a worthwhile trip. 4. Employment AgenciesEmployment agencies are often hired by companies to find qualified workers. They work to find both temporary and permanent jobs. These agencies often place the ads we see in the newspapers. Otherwise, they can be found in many phone directories. 5. InternetIn addition to looking in listings in the news and through agencies, there are websites online that specialize in helping people with their job searches. Monster. com is a great example. They attempt to pair job seekers with available jobs that meet their criteria. These can meet your job hunting needs if you have time to look through them and fill out profiles. 6. NetworkingOf course, networking always works wonders and opens up opportunities. As the saying goes, it’s not what you know, it’s who you know. Getting your name out there and building relationships is a great way to get references, internships, and great jobs. These work nicely because the employer has the reference of a person they actually know to base their decision off of. This serves as a great advantage for you. Job hunting can be a frustrating task, especially under such pressure. But there are numerous options available to help with the search. Being persistent, having a good resume, and doing well on interviews will also aid your success.
