The Economic and Community Development Institute (ECDI) is a 501(c) 3 non-profit
“for impact” community based organization located in downtown Columbus.

Among its many services, ECDI is certified by
the U.S. Department of Treasury
as a Community Development Financial Institutions (CDFI) lender, as well as
by the U.S. Small Business Administration as an intermediary micro-lender.
Dependent on the funding source, ECDI extends its services to several areas
throughout Ohio, including Franklin, Licking, Union, Delaware, Mahoning,
Pickaway and Madison counties.
At the core of the organization’s services is the
ECDI Board of Directors.
The 11-member board is comprised of individuals who voluntarily provide
professional expertise to ensure ECDI’s mission statement is executed to its
full potential.
As ECDI is continually expanding, it currently
employs 18 people full-time,
who are strongly engaged in the vision of investing in people to create
measurable and enduring social and economic change.
